Teen Halloween Party
Come party for Halloween! Show up at the library between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm on Friday, October 31 and celebrate the scariest day of the year. Participate in a costume contest, play games like Werewolf, decorate pumpkin cookies, and (of course!) eat lots of candy. Free! No registration necessary. Open to grades 5-12.
Interested in joining BOLT (Board of Library Teens)? The next meeting is at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, October 8. Pick up an application at the library. Members help with book selection and event planning. Grades 5-12.
Teen Clubs
- Club Club Afterschool: Every day after school from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Enjoy snacks and arts and crafts, work on homework, or just hang out together.
- Cosplay Club: Mondays, October 6 and 20 at 3:30 pm. On October 6, meet at Sew Beyond Blessed (101 Church Street) to work on your cosplays and learn more about sewing. On October 20, meet at the library to learn about cosplay and wigs.
- Prism: Tuesdays, October 7 and 21 at 3:30 pm. Bring an open mind, and be ready to discuss books and play games.
- Anime Club: Join us from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Wednesday, October 22, to watch 3-4 episodes of anime! The audience can choose which show(s) to watch. Japanese snacks included!
Did You Know? SPL has lockers located outside the front door that can be accessed anytime, even after hours. Fill out the online form on our website or call us to schedule a pickup.

TUESDAY TALES STORYTIMES
Storytime for preschoolers will be held on Tuesdays at 10:45 am. Children 2 and under must be accompanied by a guardian. Books, crafts, fingerplays, and more!

Every Thursday at 4:15 pm there will be something going on for kids at the library!
SIMPLY STEAM (K-4)
- October 2 – Smokey the Bear. Learn about fire safety, how to help prevent wildfires, play Bingo, and make s’mores!
- October 9 – Melted Crayon Art. Melt and make art with crayons! Special crayon shape to take home.
- October 22 – Lights On Afterschool: Huff
- and Puff Wind Science. Read The Three Little Pigs, learn about wind, and celebrate afterschool programs!
YOUTH CHESS CLUB (K-12)
- October 16 – Kids and teens are invited to join librarian Alonna to learn more about and/or play the game!
KIDS HALLOWEEN PARTY (preK-4)
- October 30 – Celebrate Halloween before trick-or-treating! Show off your costume at the costume contest, start your candy collection, and play spooky games! Join us at 4:15 pm, then go trick-or-treating around town from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm!
