Interested in joining BOLT (Board of Library Teens)? The first meeting of the school year is Wednesday, September 3 at 4:30 pm. Members help with book selection and event planning. Grades 5-12.

Youth Chess Club

Join librarians and chess players Mason and Alonna on Thursday, August 21 at 4:15 pm, to learn more about the game! Open to all youth.

 

STEAM CLUB EVENTS!

Join us Fridays at 4:15 pm for fun with science, community partners, and more! Grades K-12.

  • TECH DAY 4 SUMMER: August 1. See tech demos (and try out some robots and other things for yourself), experiment with video game and website coding, and more!
  • TIE-DYE: August 22. Use tie-dye and fabric markers to make your own set of bandanas.
  • LEAF PRINTING: August 29. Experiment with making your own leaf art.

 

Teen Clubs

  • Anime Club: Join us from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm on Wednesday, August 27, to watch three episodes of anime! The audience can choose which show(s) to watch. Japanese snacks included! 
  • Cosplay Club: Mondays, August 11 and 25 at 3:30 pm. Meet the cosplay club at the library to work on your cosplays with local cosplayer and librarian Alonna. 
  • Club Club Afterschool: CCA returns in September! Enjoy snacks and arts and crafts, work on homework, or just hang out together. 
  • Prism: Prism will return in September! Participants are encouraged to bring an open mind, and be ready to discuss books and play games. 

 

Adults: Thanks for a Great Summer!

Our Adult Summer Reading Club has come to an end! Thank you so much to everyone who participated. A big shoutout to our generous sponsors: Anything Grows, Club Salon and Day Spa, DeEtte’s Dream Diner, Field of Dreams Drive-in Theater, Fulton County Fair Board, Ko’s Garden, Loma Linda’s, Mail Pouch Saloon, McNeill Chevrolet, Modern Marketing, Oak Park Garden Center, Old El Camino Real, Oncore Brewing, and Sadowski’s Produce (donations for the garden). With their generosity we gave out eight weekly prizes, two grand prizes, and two word search prizes. Thank you all!
