Summer Reading for teens begins June 2!
Celebrate the colors of the world this summer at the library! We’ll have SRP events for all ages, activities to do around town, take-home kits, and more!
- KICKOFF – Ice Cream Party: All ages are invited to the library on Monday, June 2 anytime between noon and 2:00 pm for an ice cream party! Pick up summer reading signup kits and book kits as well.
- READING: Prizes are earned after completing a reading goal of 500 minutes.
- BINGO: Everyone who completes the challenge will get more prizes, plus an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing!
- EVENTS (TEENS): Grades 5-12 are invited to these events! Club Club, Archery and Tree Climbing at Oak Openings, and more!
- EVENTS (ALL AGES): All ages are invited to these events! Family Art Hub, Time Travel with Art, Dog Parade Show n' Tell, and more!
- SCAVENGER HUNT: The hunt comes in two parts! Teams receive small prizes, Burger King certificates, and entry into a drawing for a Movie Night Pack (popcorn, candy, sodas and DVDs!).
- VIRTUAL BOOK CLUB: Every month pick up kits for grades 5-8 or 9-12; kits come with a copy of the book, a review form, a few questions, and some activities. All we ask is that you read the book: do as much or as little of the rest of it as you want.
- FINALE: Indiana Wild – Thursday, July 31 at 2:00 pm. Join Indiana Wild to celebrate human-animal connections and meet many LIVE animals! Grand Prize Drawing to follow.
