Teen Events

  • Club Club Afterschool – Every day after school from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm beginning September 3. Enjoy snacks and arts and crafts, work on homework, or just hang out together. 
  • STEAM Club: Botanical Painting – Friday, October 3 at 4:15 pm. Make nature paintings using elements from nature!
  • Cosplay Club Mondays, October 6 and 20 at 3:30 pm. On October 6, meet at Sew Beyond Blessed (101 Church St) to learn more about sewing. On October 20, meet the cosplay club at the library to work on your cosplays with local cosplayer and librarian Alonna.
  • Prism Club Tuesdays, October 7 and 21 at 3:30 pm. Bring an open mind, and be ready to discuss books and play games. 
  • D&D Workshop Tuesday, October 7 at 4:30 pm. Work on character creation, miniature painting, and more.
  • STEAM Club: Brain Games – Friday, October 10 at 4:15 pm. Cryptograms, ciphers, and more!
  • Costume Exchange – Monday, October 13. Bring in any youth costumes or costume pieces in good condition. On October 13, choose from the collection to create your Halloween costume!
  • Dungeons & Dragons Club Tuesdays, October 14, 21, and 28 at 4:30 pm. Please bring a fifth edition third-level character sheet if possible; pre-generated characters will also be available. New players, please register online. 
  • CCA: Unsolved Case Files Wednesday, October 15 at 3:30 pm. Teens and preteens in grades 5-12 are invited to come to the library to investigate a cold case file and solve the mystery! See you after school!
  • Youth Chess Club – Thursday, October 16 at 4:15 pm. Join librarians and chess players Mason and Alonna to learn more about the game! Open to all youth.
  • STEAM Club: Zany Zines – Friday, October 17 at 4:15 pm. Make your own tiny little magazine!
  • Anime Club – Wednesday, October 22 at 3:30 pm. Join us to watch 3-4 episodes of anime! The audience can choose which show(s) to watch. Japanese snacks included! 
  • STEAM Club: Sugar Detectives – Friday, October 24 at 4:15 pm. What’s in your food? Experiment to find out with Finish Well Health!
  • Halloween Hoopla – Saturday, October 25. The library will be closed on Saturday, October 25 for Halloween Hoopla. Find us on Main Street during Hoopla for storytime every half hour, as well as play games and pick up a free book and candy!
  • Teen Halloween Party – Friday, October 31 at 3:30 pm. Participate in a costume contest, play games like Werewolf, decorate pumpkin cookies, and (of course!) eat lots of candy.
