Kids Events
- Simply STEAM: Easter Egg Art – Thursday, April 2 at 4:15 pm. Color eggs with whipped cream and food coloring. Grades K-4.
- Easter Egg Hunt – Friday, April 3 at 12:00 pm. All youth are welcome; toddlers will get a head start. Yard games will also be available to play starting at 11:00 am, and the Hot Dogs 2 Go food truck will be there, along with LifeWise Academy with an activity! Rain date: April 4.
- STEAM Club: Zines! – Fridays, April 3 and 10 at 4:15 pm. Make a mini-magazine, or zine! All ages.
- Pokémon Club for Kids & Teens – Saturday, April 4 at 11:00 am. Make Pokémon art, watch the show, and play the card game!
- Vintage Sneaker Excursion – Wednesday, April 8 at 5:00 pm. All ages are welcome to explore themed sneaker design contests! Hosted by Vintage Lifestyle, participants design a sneaker to fit a theme, with prizes for the best ones. If you’d like to try painting your design on actual sneakers, bring a pair of plain white sneakers and stay afterward to paint! Register for a place!
- Simply STEAM: Watercolor Techniques – Thursday, April 9 at 4:15 pm. Experiment with painting using watercolors! Grades K-4.
- Board Games Club – Thursday, April 16 at 4:15 pm. Join librarian Alonna to play any game in the library! Open to all youth.
- STEAM Club: Tech Day – Friday, April 17 at 4:15 pm. Try out some robots and other tech for yourself, experiment with video game and website coding, and more! All ages.
- National Library Week: Bookmarks – Monday, April 20. Make your own bookmark anytime!
- National Library Week: Dress Up! – Tuesday, April 21. Dress up as a book character anytime!
- National Library Week: Meet Gracie! – Wednesday, April 22 from 10:30 am to noon. Meet Gracie, a local therapy dog, and her owner Shauna, and read any book you like to her! All ages.
- National Library Week: Book Journals – Wednesday, April 22 at 4:00 pm. Decorate a book journal to track your books and thoughts. All ages welcome.
- National Library Week: Library Tea Party – Thursday, April 23 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Enjoy tea and snacks anytime!
- Simply STEAM: Recycle Art – Thursday, April 23 at 4:15 pm. Celebrate National Library Week and Earth Day by making art out of recycled materials! Grades K-4.
- National Library Week: Don Lee – Friday, April 24 between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm. Artist Don Lee will do caricatures!
- STEAM Club: Junk Journals – Friday, April 24 at 4:15 pm. Make your own journals from recycled “junk” to celebrate National Library Week and Earth Day! All ages.
- National Library Week – Saturday, April 25. Stickermania! and sensory bin.
- Simply STEAM: Monarch Butterflies – Thursday, April 30 at 4:15 pm. Learn about pollinators like monarch butterflies and their relationship to milkweed, and plant some of your own! Grades K-4.
