Join the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) clubs at the library! Kids in grades K-4 can come to the Simply STEAM programs on Thursdays at 4:15 pm; kids in grades K-12 are invited to participate on Fridays at 4:15 pm. 

January Simply STEAM (K-4): Thursdays at 4:15 pm

  • January 8Winter Survival Fun: Bird Migration. Learn about birds in winter and help feed them!
  • January 15 Winter Survival Fun: Monarch Butterflies. Learn about monarch butterflies and the important of milkweed, and plant your own butterfly garden piece with supplies donated by Rita Dryer.
  • January 29Winter Survival Fun: Hibernation. Design your own warmer dog house!

January STEAM Club (K-12): Fridays at 4:15 pm

  • PAPIER-MÂCHÉ: January 9. Ever made papier mâché? Neither has Ms. Alonna! Come experiment!
  • DINOSAUR DAY: January 16. Go underground at STEAM Club!
  • YARN CRAFTS: January 23. Join yarn crafting experts and make your own creations.
  • LET’S BUILD: January 30. Legos®, builder spaces, and more!

 

SPL has subscribed to coding platform Fiero! Fiero will be used at STEAM Club but you also sign up to use from home or wherever you are! Fiero helps teach coding through games, challenges (with prizes!), and more. Click on the picture to sign up, and watch this video if you need any help!
