Cardmaking: Guy Greetings

Instructor Anna Geis will be here to show participants how to make three cards in honor of Father’s Day and the men in your life. Class fee is $7/person for three cards; all supplies are provided. This class is scheduled for 5:30 pm on Thursday, May 15. Call, stop in, or register online by May 14.

 

Color Me Calm for Adults

Adults, please come and color your stress away while listening to music and enjoying coffee or tea. Join us at the library at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 13. All supplies provided, but feel free to bring some of your own if you wish.

 

Library Bingo Night!

Grab your friends and join us at the library on Wednesday, May 28 at 6:00 pm for another night of good old-fashioned Bingo! Prizes and light refreshments will be included. No need to register; just show up ready for a good time!

 

Did You Know? SPL has lockers located at the front door that can be accessed anytime, even after hours. Fill out the online form on our website or call us to schedule a pickup.

Mahjong Mania!

Interested in Mahjong? A few ladies from the Senior Center will be at the library on Thursdays in May at 2:00 pm to play the game. Feel free to come, observe, and maybe get started playing this fun game.

 

Adult Book Clubs

Gretchen’s Book Club: Join the local book club at 5:30 pm on Thursday, May 8 to discuss Prom Mom by Laura Lippman, “the story of Amber Glass, desperately trying to get away from her tabloid past but compulsively drawn back to the city of her youth and the prom date who destroyed everything she was reaching for,” (Prom Mom, 2023). Copies are available at the front desk.

Book Discussion Club: Join the library book club on Monday, May 19 at 6:00 pm to discuss The Daughters of Yalta: The Churchills, Roosevelts, and Harrimans: A Story of Love and War by Catherine Grace Katz, “[t]he untold story of the three intelligent and glamorous young women who accompanied their famous fathers to the Yalta Conference with Stalin, and of the fateful reverberations in the waning days of World War II,” (The Daughters of Yalta, 2020). Copies are available at the front desk.
