- Trustees continued discussion on a strategic planning survey to release for public feedback.
- Two public use computers have been replaced.
- The next Board of Trustees meeting at 6:30 pm on Monday, April 20. The public is welcome to attend.
Swanton Public Library Board of Trustees Tom Zimmerman, President Heather Wegener, Secretary Joey Braden Brooke Chinni Mona Dyke Colin McQuade Kevin Young Marian Veld, Director Kelly Truckor, Fiscal Officer Cardmaking: Feminine & Floral Instructor Anna Geis will guide participants in making cards honoring the women in your life at 5:30 pm on Thursday, April 16. Call, stop in, or register on our website to join in. Class fee is $7/person for three cards; all supplies provided. Adult Book Clubs Copies of both books are available at the front desk. - Gretchen’s Book Club: Thursday, April 9 at 5:30 pm. - Book Discussion Club: Monday, April 20 at 6:00 pm. Join the adult services librarian to discuss the thriller Never Lie by Freida McFadden.
Senior Assistance with Val Val Edwards from the Fulton County Senior Center will help walk you through topics such as Medicare, senior assistance programs, insurance, and more! Call the Senior Center at 419-337-9299 to schedule an appointment on Thursday, April 16 between 10:00 am and noon. | Ongoing Opportunities - Chair Yoga – Mondays at 4:30 pm. Physical therapist Dawn Seigneur will lead a class in chair yoga. Classes are $5.00 per person.
- Bridge Group – Mondays, April 6 and 20 between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Anyone interested in playing or learning is welcome!
- Color Me Calm – Tuesday, April 14 at 1:30 pm. Adults, come color your stress away while listening to music and enjoying coffee or tea. All supplies are provided.
- Dungeons & Dragons Club – Tuesdays, April 7 and 14 at 4:30 pm. Please bring a fifth edition third-level character sheet if possible. New players, register on our website’s calendar.
- D&D Workshop – Tuesdays, April 21 and 28 at 4:30 pm. Work on character creation, miniature painting, and more.
- Mahjong Mania – Tuesdays at 2:00 pm and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm. Join some ladies from the Senior Center to play this fun game! On April 7, beginners are invited to register for a class at 1:00 pm to learn more. Call or visit our website to register.
- Seam Rippers Sewing Club – Tuesday, April 21 from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. Bring your current sewing project. Packed lunches welcome!
- Fiber Arts Fiends – Wednesdays, April 1 and 15 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Fiber artists of all levels are invited to join.
- ChessNuts – Wednesdays at 5:00 pm. Adults of all skill levels are welcome to play chess.
- Writers’ Group – Thursdays, April 2, 16, and 30 at 6:00 pm. This group is for writers at every stage of their journey to gather, create, and connect. We welcome all genres, styles, and levels of literary mastery. No work to share? No problem. Simply bring yourself and the willingness to start writing!
- Swanton Historical Society – Fridays at 10:00 am. Anyone who would like to volunteer or join, ask questions, or chat with members is welcome!
