YOUTH SUMMER READING PROGRAM There’s just a few days left! There are three age groups: preschoolers (ages 5 and under), youth (grades K-5), teens (grades 5-12). READING: Prizes are earned after completing a reading goal of 500 minutes. For every ten minutes you read, place a sticker over an egg on your reading log. When it’s filled, you’ve finished 500 minutes! Logs are due by 2:00 pm on August 6. ACTIVITY CHALLENGE: Preschoolers: Do all ten activities. Kids/teens: Do at least ten of the fourteen activities. Everyone who completes the challenge gets more prizes, plus entry into the Grand Prize Drawing! PRIZES: - Read 500 minutes: A free book, an ice cream coupon, a free Tano’s All Mine Pizza!, a Grand Prize Drawing entry, and more!

- Gretchen’s Book Club: Thursday, August 13 at 5:30 pm. Join the local book club to discuss The River Knows Your Name by Kelly Mustian, a haunting Southern story about memory, family secrets, and fierce and fragile love.
- Book Discussion Club: Monday, August 17 at 6:00 pm. Join the library book club to discuss The Women by Kristin Hannah, an intimate portrait of coming of age in a dangerous time and an epic tale of a nation divided.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten: A nationwide challenge encouraging caregivers to read aloud to their children. Children receive prizes and incentives after every 100 books read.
