This program is a nationwide challenge encouraging parents and caregivers to read aloud to their children. Families read in 100-book segments, with incentives for every 100 books finished. Participation is free of charge. To learn more, visit our website or http://1000booksbeforekindergarten.org/.

Pokémon Club

Are you a fan of Pokémon? Do you like the games? The show? The cards? Pokémon Go? Any of it? All of it? Then SPL’s Pokémon Club is for you – no matter what it is, we’ve got it!

Join the club on Saturday, January 10 at 11:00 am to explore all facets of Pokémon. At the first meeting, get a free card and free stickers and share what you like best about Pokémon. Then, come every month for more Pokémon fun! Thanks to the American Library Association for the grant supporting the club!

Interested in joining BOLT (Board of Library Teens)? The next meeting will be on Wednesday, January 7 at 4:30 pm. Pick up an application at the library and turn it in at the front desk or bring it to the meeting. Members help with party planning and book selection, and eat snacks! Open to grades 5-12.
