YOUTH CHESS CLUB (K-12) December 18 at 4:15 pm – Kids and teens are invited to join librarian Alonna to learn more about and/or play the game! More Holiday Happenings! - StoryWalk: Check out a new StoryWalk book in Pilliod Park this month! Families can walk around the park to read The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg while enjoying holiday decorations. The book was donated by the Board of Education and will be out by December 5, which is the same day as the Christmas Tree Lighting!

- Santa’s Workshop: Kids in elementary school can also make crafts with librarians Ms. Michelle and Ms. Emily at Fisher Gym on December 10.
| Teen Science Café: Cake Decorating Join other teens at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, December 17, to learn more about cake decorating and decorate your own cupcakes with Kristina Stormer! Teen Science Café is a free program where teens and STEAM experts collaborate on presentations and hands-on activities, led by teens for teens with the help of an adult leader. Interested in joining BOLT (Board of Library Teens)? The next meeting will be on Wednesday, December 3 at 4:30 pm. Pick up an application at the library and turn it in at the front desk or bring it to the meeting. Members help with party planning and book selection, and eat snacks! Open to grades 5-12. Teen Clubs - Club Club Afterschool for Teens: Every day after school from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Enjoy snacks and arts and crafts, work on homework, or just hang out together.
- Cosplay Club: Mondays, December 1, 15, and 29 at 3:30 pm. Meet the club at the library or Sew Beyond Blessed (101 Church Street) to learn more about cosplaying and sewing.
- Prism: Tuesdays, December 2 and 16 at 3:30 pm. Participants are encouraged to bring questions and an open mind, and be ready to play games and talk about your favorite pride reads.
- Retro Anime Club: Join us from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Wednesday, December 10, to watch episodes of older (but great!) anime chosen by the attendees. Japanese snacks included!
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten This program is a nationwide challenge encouraging parents and caregivers to read aloud to their children.
