Swanton Library will be closed on Friday, April 15 for the Ohio Library Council (OLC) Northwest Chapter Conference. The Conference is held at the Radisson Hotel at the University of Toledo and is a day filled with programs developed by OLC’s divisions, committees, and individual members. The areas of focus are on “always-needed” training topics and use peer-to-peer instruction. The library’s Director, Janelle Thomas, served on the Chapter Conference Board this year, along with other local and state professionals.
A date and time has been set for all staff to undergo active shooter – also known as “A.L.I.C.E.” – training. It is anticipated to take place when the library is closed on April 15. The Delta Police Department will provide the training.
