SPL offers several services for teachers and homeschoolers. Please let us know if you would like any of the following:
- DAYCARE AND PRESCHOOL OUTREACH - A librarian will visit local day cares and nursery schools and do a storytime for 30-45 minutes. Please call the library or contact a children's librarian to arrange a one-time visit or arrange for monthly visits.
- CLASS VISITS - Classes are invited to visit the library for a program on-site, or the children's librarian can come to your school for a visit. Please call or contact the children's department to arrange a time.
- TEACHER PACKETS - A librarian will put together a group of books on certain themes for you to use in the classroom. Request a teacher packet.
- ASSIGNMENT ALERTS - Let us know if a big project for several students is being assigned so we can make sure books are available. Learn more about assignment alerts.
- ELLISON DIES - Swanton Library has several hundred Ellison dies for use by teachers and other members on the public.
- PRACTICE TESTS - Information about Ohio's testing standards can be found on the Ohio Department of Education's website. The site includes practice tests and other preparatory tools.
- HOMESCHOOLING - Many services are available to homeschoolers as well. The library also has links to other homeschooling resources.
