This year is the 15th anniversary of International Dot Day, which celebrates creativity and inspiration as shown in Peter H. Reynolds’s book The Dot. During September, all ages can take home a dot to decorate. Use crayons, chalk, markers, colored pencils, collage, construction paper, clay, paint, buttons, noodles, leaves... the possibilities are endless!!! Participants will have their dots put on display in the library and be entered to win a GIANT stuffed animal!
Dot Day Party: Kids can also decorate their dot at the library at noon on Monday, September 16. Hear the story, decorate your dots, and maybe even have a dot scavenger hunt outside (weather permitting). Make sure to wear polka dots if you can!
