Grab one of our do-it-at-home storytime kits this May! We’ve picked one book from Authors Everywhere!, a YouTube channel celebrating authors, to showcase this month and put together packets with activities, stickers, an instrument, a craft, and more to take home. We will have a post up for each book on https://www.splyouth.org for anyone who wants to comment on how storytime at home went. Please, only one book/kit per household.

Fulton County Wellness Center will hold a Babysitting Clinic from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 7, at the library. Participants must be 11 years old to attend. Those who complete the course will be certified in babysitting (doesn’t include CPR). Bring a sack lunch. Beverages and a snack are provided. Please pre-register at the library; a fee of $50 is due at sign up. A minimum of 8 participants is required.

We will be mass ordering a copy of one book from other libraries for participants to borrow and return. The other book is yours to keep!

The Swanton Library is proud to host two Easter Egg Hunts on Wednesday, April 13! Toddlers are invited to join the fun at Rotary Park (between the library and the police station) at 2:00 pm for their own special hunt; elementary-age kids will meet at Pilliod Park (on the other side of the library) at 2:30 pm. As an added bonus, five special eggs will contain a golden ticket. The lucky persons who find a golden ticket will be awarded a special prize. The rain date will be Friday, April 15 at 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm. All youth are welcome; the limit is fifteen eggs per child.
