Newly published picture book author Melissa Mintz will be here at the library at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 28! Join Melissa for a read-aloud of her book and a Q&A with the audience. Library worker and fellow author Nathan Jacobs will be there to read his book as well!

Interested in discussing the book club books in person this month? Participants are invited to one of two special book discussions on Wednesday, December 20, at 4:30 pm. Grades K-5 and grades 6-12 will meet separately to discuss the two books for their age groups – and enjoy cocoa together!

Book Buddies for preschool and elementary school kids returns! Join the YWCA at 4:15 pm on Thursday, December 21 for fun with a book, crafts, and activities. Kids also receive a kit to take home!

Monday, December 18 at 1:00 pm. Mason, SPL’s intern from Swanton High School, has been helping the youth department all quarter. Join Mason for a special story-time he planned just for today! 

 

Sign up to read aloud to a certified therapy dog! Barli will be here Thursday, December 14 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm – during our cookie decorating party! Kids can take a break to read to Barli, but please don’t give him any cookies! Six 20-minute slots are available. Call, come in, or register online. Walk-ins welcome!
