Come read aloud to a certified therapy dog! Friendly giant Barli will be here from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 12. Call, come in, or register online to read to him. Walk-ins welcome!

Storytime for preschoolers is held on Tuesdays at 10:30 am. Books, crafts, fingerplays, and more! Children 2 and under must be accompanied by a guardian.

It’s that time of year! On Thursday, December 19 between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm, we’ll have cookies, frosting, and all manner of trimmings set out for all ages to decorate at your leisure! Attendance is free, but please keep your creations to two cookies per person. Gluten-free options available. Kids can also take a break to read to therapy dog Gracie, but please don’t give her any cookies! 

Saturday, December 7 after the parade at Swanton High School

Join SPL’s STEAM librarian and members of BOLT during the Christmas in Swanton craft show and make it snow! Find SPL in the school’s community room and experiment with different ways to make fake snow to take home. Available as long as supplies last.

Join us at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18 for a night of good old-fashioned Bingo! Prizes  and light refreshments will be included. No need to register; just come ready for a good time! 

 

Join The Ability Center of Greater Toledo for a DREAM (Disability, Representation, Education, and Awareness in Media) Storytime this month! Families are invited to the library at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 19 for a storytime featuring books with a DREAM theme, a craft, and more! Snacktime to follow.

Families are invited to make toys and kennel pads for the dogs and cats of the Fulton County Humane Society! Show up anytime between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm on Tuesday, November 26. A few of FCHS’s animals will be there for you to test your toys with! All supplies provided. No registration necessary. We will also be collecting donations for FCHS; if you need ideas we have a wish list posted at the library and on the library’s Facebook.

All ages are invited to join us at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 25 for a Family Show & Tell. Bring in a treasured gift, an important item from your home, a family photo, or even a family member to introduce to everyone! Craft and snack time to follow.
