For those in the know, September 22 is a bookish holiday known as Hobbit Day, celebrated by Lord of the Rings aficionados who want to party like a hobbit! On September 22 at 3:30 pm, join the librarians for Afternoon Tea (complete with nerdy food and drink) and a short Tolkien-themed cooking class. This program is free to attend, but space is very limited! Participants must bring their own large frying pan for this event, but all other supplies are provided. Stop in, call, or register through our website today!
It’s Fulton County Fair Season! To celebrate the local holiday, join us in the library “barnyard” at 5:00 pm on Thursday, September 15 for this month’s class. The class fee is $7/person, but all supplies are provided. Please note that your finished result may not match exactly with the examples provided by Anna Geis. Do you have some free time in the mornings and want to brush up on your sewing skills? Do you have some sewing projects and just want a little company while you work? Lucky for you, the Seam Rippers are back this month—September 14 at 10:30 am. No registration is required and walk-ins are encouraged. Packed lunches are welcome and encouraged. All you need is yourself and your newest sewing project; we hope to see you there!
