Swanton Library is joining many other libraries around Ohio and making our fine-free policy permanent! No overdue fines will be incurred for late items, and charges will only incur if an item is out for more than a month past its due date; at that point it’s considered ‘lost’ or never-returned. Cardholders will still be responsible for never-returned and damaged items. Charges for lost or damaged items will be calculated at list price. Collection agency fees will still be charged, as will fees for mailed overdue notices or missing pieces.
